Painting at first was painting, trying to do it in similar ways.  What draws me always is how to strike that balance and end-point where everything assumes a  seemingly effortless arrangement. Painting, now, is continuing to paint.

It is amazing that anything can become the basis for picture-making.  For me it is figurative.  By figurative I also mean documenting: that to which I stand witness.  Lately my work has been coloured by trying to mimic our society’s aptitude to produce, waste and consume.
